The Team Rocket Trio are the main antagonists of the anime series Pokemon. A group of incompetent Team Rocket grunts, they are the archenemies of Ash Ketchum and his friends, having attempted to steal his partner Pikachu for their own since the beginning of Ash's journey and following him across the Pokémon world. While proud to be villains and even somewhat egotistical, their plans and ploys to steal Pikachu have almost universally ended in failure from their sheer incompetence, constant underestimation of their foes, technical backfires, and sometimes, when they actually might succeed, just plain bad luck.
Personality[]
Jessie often acts as the leader of the trio and is arguably the most evil one of the group. She is short-tempered, vain and boastful but also deeply cares about her Pokemon. She also thoroughly enjoys performing but every time it doesn't turn out the way she wants, she will not hesitate to go back to her villainous ways.
James is the more softer and thoughtful one of the trio and pretty much the least evil one of the group. He is often quite flamboyant and glamorous not afraid to show it. Although being apart of Team Rocket, doing bad things he will not hesitate to do the right thing whenever necessary and deeply cares about his Pokemon just like Jessie does.
Pokemon[]
Jessie, James and Meowth have been causing trouble for Ash since the very beginning and will stop at nothing to capture his Pikachu even if it takes them all over the globe. Their persistence of trying to catch Pikachu is incredible but also leads to their downfall due to being defeated and underestimated over and over again. Even though they always up to mischief, they will also team up with Ash and his friends when it benefits them. They also seem to have a constant rivalry with Team Rocket duo Butch and Cassidy due to them being more favorable, scheming and trustworthy to Giovanni. Though they're apart of Team Rocket primarily for the money (despite that James comes from a rich family), their villainy is arguably somewhat of a facade though they may also legitimately enjoy it.
