Meredith Blake is the main antagonist of the 1998 remake of "The Parent Trap." She is a 26-year-old child-hating gold-digger who plans on marrying Nick Parker, the divorced father of identical twins, Hallie and Annie for his money.
Meredith knew that Nick was divorced, and Nick raised Hallie, but he didn't tell Meredith that she had a twin sister named Annie, and he didn't tell her that Elizabeth James, the famous wedding gown designer, was the twins' mother and his ex-wife. She's shocked after eventually learning the truth.
Later, while Meredith, Nick, and the twins were on a camping trip in the mountains, the twins pull pranks on her, and after they push her air mattress out into the middle of the lake while she's sleeping, she wakes up the next morning, and she sees a bird on her. She screams and falls off her air mattress and into the lake. Afterward, she yells at Nick, telling him that the day they get married is the day she ships the girls off to Switzerland, and she tells him to choose between her and the girls, and he chooses the girls. She throws a screaming tantrum and breaks off the engagement.
