Kaa is an enormous Python and a minor villain in the 2016 live action Disney film, The Jungle Book. Although Kaa was portrayed as a male in the original 1967 film version of The Jungle Book, he is potrayed as a female in this one.
She is voiced by Scarlett Johanssen.
Movie Role[]
Unlike his role in the original, Kaa appears when Mowgli, rides a boat along a river. He then hears a female voice, which ends up being Kaa's voice. Kaa strangles Mowgli, and tells him about Shere Khan, the tiger, and his father (Mowgli's father), who ended up saving Mowgli. Bagheera was featured in this flashback as well.
Kaa's final words are the male Kaa's most famous quote in the original, "Trust In Me." She then tries to eat Mowgli, but a sloth bear named Baloo, roars, and defeats Kaa from eating Mowgli.
After this, Kaa is not seen again (or mentioned) throughout the entire film.
