|~ Hans betraying Anna.|
Prince Hans is the hidden main antagonist of Frozen. He is Anna's arch-nemesis.
Hans seemed to be a brave, friendly, and noble man at first sight, asking a "weird" question to Anna about being married together.
However, later on, in the story, Hans reveals his real self to Anna before he was about to kiss her and is actually cruel, heartless, despicable, self-centered, and overall evil. He even tried to kill Elsa at the end, but Anna was brave enough to stop him from killing her.
As described at the end of the film, before Anna pummeled him, he really does have a frozen heart.
- Hans is named after Hans Christian Anderson, the author of The Snow Queen, the novel Frozen is based off of.
- He shares many similarities to other villains:
Similarities to other Disney villains
- Gaston from Beauty and the Beast - both are handsome, willing to grab attention from the heroine, and want to kill the Beast / Elsa because the towns view them as "monsters", though Elsa is not a monster; she is a sorceress who did not intentionally turn Summer into Winter.
- However, at the end of the film, Gaston fell to his death after a battle with the Beast while Hans got pummeled by Anna for trying to murder Elsa while later on, ending up imprisoned.
