Biography[]

The Secret of Saurus Rock[]

After briefly escaping a Brown Sharptooth, Littlefoot confronted by the Canyon Sharptooth. Upon seeing the Canyon Sharptooth approaching him, Littlefoot runs under his legs and the Canyon Sharptooth goes after the young Longneck. Grandpa defends Littlefoot by telling him to run while he and the Canyon Sharptooth fight. Soon Littlefoot's friends arrive and watch with him as Grandpa uses his tail to knock down the Canyon Sharptooth, tail-whipping him into a large rock and wrapping his tail around him and headbutting it.

As the Brown Sharptooth arrives, the Canyon Sharptooth gets back up and kicks Grandpa with his foot. Doc appears and pulls the Brown Sharptooth to the ground with his tail. The Canyon Sharptooth faces Doc, but Grandpa recovers and knocks the sharptooth away with his neck. When both Sharpteeth recover and charges at the two Longnecks, they easily move out of the way causing the Sharpteeth to crash into a rock spire. As the Sharpteeth are down, the Longnecks pull both sides of the spire with their tails, causing it to break and crumble down, crushing the two Sharptooth to their death.

The Lone Dinosaur Returns[]

The Canyon Sharptooth appears in a flashback told by Littlefoot in this episode. The scenes from the flashback are much different than the scenes in the film.

Trivia[]

  • Some fans thought the Canyon Sharptooth was the Meanest Sharptooth however this false since the Meanest Sharptooth is dead and he only appears in flashbacks.
  • Despite being a green sharptooth, he also appears to be a brown sharptooth in the TV show in a flashback of an episode called The Lone Dinosaur Returns.
  • He is one of three villainous predators from the films to appear in the TV series, with the others being the Brown Sharptooth and the Sail-Backed Sharptooth.
  • Curiously, no one in the film questions why the two Sharpteeth are present in the Great Valley, a location which is supposed to be free of predators.
    • However, as confirmed in the movie at one point, Saurus Rock is located in the outskirts of what use to be a part of the Great Valley.
  • The Canyon Sharptooth is the last large Sharptooth in the franchise to have red eyes, a trait common in sharpteeth from I-VI that made them look more menacing and dangerous. Later sequels do not give large Sharpteeth red eyes, and instead give them human eye colors such as green and yellow which look less intimidating.
    • The only exception is Red Claw, who has one red eye.
  • Some people have believed that Canyon Sharptooth isn't a villain, although he is a villain because he's actually a sentient predator. Most of the sharpteeth are sentient predators which they aren't normal animals at all.
